Technology helps to preserve 32 B.C. First Nations’ languages
The First Peoples' Council has partnered with TELUS to add powerful multimedia elements to the FirstVoices website.
“We are excited about how these new video clips will help First Nations’ people learn their original languages,” said Tracey Herbert, Executive Director of the First Peoples’ Council.
“I’m not exaggerating when I say that all B.C. First Nations’ languages are endangered. The work being done by the First Peoples’ Council over the next five to 10 years in partnership with communities will be critical to the survival of First Nations’ languages in this province."
